Styling Antique & Vintage Furniture
Position this gilded wall sconce against a richly coloured wall in deep burgundy, charcoal or forest green to emphasise its sculptural detailing and warm metallic finish. Style with an LED pillar candle or a small decorative object, or arrange a matching pair on either side of an antique mirror or framed artwork for a symmetrical, old-world composition. Its elaborate acanthus foliage makes it particularly suited to Baroque-inspired interiors, dark academia studies, traditional drawing rooms and atmospheric gallery walls. Combine with dark timber, velvet upholstery and antique brass accessories for a richly layered effect.

Pair of Gilded Baroque Revival Wall Sconce & Decorative Shelf

Design, Materials & Craftsmanship

A pair of richly ornamented Baroque Revival wall sconces, featuring elaborate acanthus-leaf scrollwork and an aged gold finish inspired by classical European decorative arts.

Crafted in Italy from resin, these sculptural wall brackets combine a decorative, gilded appearance with the elaborate curves and foliage associated with Baroque and Rococo-inspired interiors. A projecting shelf at the top provides a small display surface for a decorative candle, miniature ornament or other lightweight object.

Each measuring approximately 25.5 cm in height, their architectural form brings depth, texture and old-world grandeur to a wall. The warm metallic finish highlights the raised foliage and sculptural detailing, creating a striking decorative accent against dark painted walls, traditional panelling or richly coloured interiors.

Particularly suited to gothic home decor, dark academia interiors and traditional drawing rooms, this pair can be displayed independently as an ornamental wall accent or incorporated into a layered gallery wall alongside antique mirrors, framed artworks and decorative objects.

FAQs

Buying Antique & Vintage Furniture

Are your antiques authentic?

Yes. All pieces are genuine vintage or antique items sourced individually. Age-related wear is expected and described honestly in each listing.

What condition should I expect from antique furniture?

Antiques often show signs of age such as surface wear, small marks, or minor repairs. These details form part of the character and history of the piece and will be noted in the description.

Do you offer delivery for antique furniture?

Yes. Delivery options are available across the UK. Larger pieces may be shipped via specialist couriers to ensure safe transport.

Can I return an antique item?

Returns are accepted in line with our shop policies. Please review the returns information before purchasing or contact us if you have questions.

Can I reserve an item?

Occasionally we can hold items for a short period. Please get in touch if you would like to reserve a piece.

Will antique furniture work in a modern home?

Yes. Antique pieces often work beautifully in contemporary interiors, where they act as characterful statement pieces against simpler modern surroundings. A single antique chair, mirror or candlestick can add depth, craftsmanship and historical texture to a room while balancing more minimal or modern furniture.
