Pieter Goos

Pieter Goos was a Dutch cartographer and publisher working in Amsterdam. His Nieuwe Werelt Kaert, also titled Orbis terrarum nova et accuratissima tabula, presents the world in two hemispheres surrounded by decorative figures, birds and clouds. The Huntington catalogues a 1666 example, while later editions are recorded in other library collections.
