about Old Town Magick

Old Town Magick is a UK-based interiors brand specialising in gothic wall art, antique and vintage objects, atmospheric candles, and old-world décor inspired by European history and the dramatic aesthetics of cities such as Edinburgh, Paris, Venice, Rome and Palermo.

Founded in Edinburgh, Old Town Magick draws inspiration from the gothic architecture and layered history of the city’s Old Town. Themes & Topics Explored by Old Town Magick

Old Town Magick explores a range of subjects connected to historic interiors, symbolism and atmospheric European design. These themes run throughout our artwork, antiques and collections.

A man in sunglasses sits in a dimly lit room with a faux bookshelf background, a painting of a ship hangs above him.

Old Town Magick was founded by Marcus Campbell, an artist and designer based in Edinburgh.

A seeker, a maker, a curator of the forgotten.

Some creations belong to the present.

Others feel as though they have always existed, waiting to be unearthed.

Old Town Magick is woven from that unseen thread—where time slows, where symbols are not merely symbols, but quiet invocations. A world of velvet shadow and candlelit devotion, where myth and memory entwine.

Gothic architecture, ancient rites, the secret language of tarot - these are not mere inspirations. They are imprints. Fragments of something eternal, something waiting to be translated, uncovered and brought back to life.

I am drawn to places where myth still breathes, where time is an offering, where beauty is a spell in itself.

A life of seeking, of creating, of uncovering the exquisite hidden within the ordinary.

For those who know that magick is not learned—it is remembered.

The Philosophy of Old Town Magick

Old Town Magick celebrates the beauty of atmospheric interiors and symbolic imagery. Our collections invite people to surround themselves with objects that evoke mystery, history and contemplation.Through artwork, antiques and decorative pieces, Old Town Magick encourages interiors that feel layered, dramatic and deeply personal.

We Value:

Individuality

Old Town Magick exists for those who walk their own path. We celebrate singularity, inner power and the quiet boldness of choosing beauty, mystery and meaning over convention.

Enigmatism

There is magic in what cannot be explained. We embrace the veiled, the arcane and the symbolic - creating pieces that whisper rather than shout, inviting you to look again and step deeper.

Elegance

Every detail matters. Our work honours craftsmanship, composition and old-world refinement. Through moody palettes, sacred geometry and poetic design, we create objects of quiet luxury and lasting resonance.

  • A dimly lit room features a table set with candles, books, and plants against a dark green wall adorned with framed art.

    Art Prints

Textured and symbolic, each print is designed in Marcus’ Edinburgh studio using techniques of collage, mixed media and digital alchemy to transforms the forgotten into something new.

We work with a family-run print studio, who carefully print, frame and hand-assemble our artwork using fade-resistant inks and time-honoured techniques.

Our collections shift with the seasons, fleeting and ephemeral - once a design vanishes, it may not return.

A moment captured, a story preserved. A fragment of something lost, now found...

  • An olive-green velvet sofa stands before a dark teal wall covered with ornate, gold-framed portraits in a dimly lit room.

    Antiques & Furniture

Time-worn wood, gilded frames, the quiet patina of history… each piece is a fragment of another time, carefully sourced from across the UK and beyond.

Restored and reimagined in Marcus’ Edinburgh studio, these objects are chosen not just for their beauty, but for the stories they carry. A cabinet that once stood in a grand estate. A mirror that has reflected centuries. A relic of another life, now waiting to be part of yours.

Objects with a past, ready for their next chapter.
