Dark Butterfly Wall Art Print – Gothic Butterfly Illustration Art

From £39.99

Vintage-Style Butterfly Plates & Specimen Prints

Butterfly plate artwork gives wings, patterns and arrangement a clear visual structure. A grouped illustration can hold a larger wall, while a single specimen-style print invites a closer look. These are artworks depicting insects; read the listing to distinguish prints from physical specimens.

Moth Wall Art & Quieter Natural-History Studies

Moth illustrations can bring softer colour and intricate markings to a study or bedroom. Pair a finely detailed moth print with warm timber and restrained textiles, allowing the pattern of the wings to remain the focus. A smaller format can work well within a bookshelf display or an intimate gallery grouping.

Lepidoptery Prints for Dark Academia Bedrooms

Butterfly and moth studies connect naturally with library-inspired interiors and collections of botanical artwork. Pale backgrounds bring contrast to dark green or burgundy walls, while warm frames can echo older furniture. Measure above the bed or dresser carefully so the scale feels intentional.

Create a Butterfly & Botanical Gallery Wall

Combine the symmetry of wings with the taller forms of leaves and flowers. Choose a shared tone or frame finish, then vary the scale and spacing around one focal image. This creates a natural-history gallery wall with variety, rather than a row of nearly identical illustrations.

How to Choose Butterfly & Moth Wall Art Prints

Compare single and grouped studies

A single butterfly gives its markings more attention, while a specimen plate creates rhythm across several forms. Choose according to the size of the wall.

Match colour thoughtfully

Pick one colour from the wings to connect with the room. Neutral backgrounds make it easier to combine different butterfly and moth prints.

Check format and framing

Read each listing for dimensions and available frames. Include the full framed size in the layout and confirm that you are selecting a print rather than a specimen object.

What does lepidoptery artwork include?

In an art collection, lepidoptery is a useful way to describe imagery of butterflies and moths, including specimen-style plates, wing studies and decorative illustrations. Check the product for its precise subject.

Are these real framed butterflies and moths?

This collection is for wall art prints depicting butterflies and moths. A specimen-style image does not mean the product contains a real insect; read the individual description for the format offered.

Can I order these art prints framed?

Check the individual product for available framed and print-only options, dimensions and finishes. Compare the finished frame size with your wall space, and choose a surround that connects with the artwork and furniture around it.

Are these original antique artworks or newly produced prints?

This collection is organised around wall art prints. Historical or vintage-inspired imagery does not establish the age of the physical product. Read the individual listing for the medium, format and any stated artist or source details.

How do I choose the right print size?

Measure the wall and the furniture beneath it, then compare those measurements with the sizes offered on the product page. Include the full frame dimensions and leave space around a detailed image so that it can be appreciated.

How do I care for a wall art print?

Follow the product’s care guidance and keep paper artwork away from direct heat, splashes and prolonged direct sunlight. In kitchens or other humid spaces, choose a suitable position and framing for the conditions.
