Evening all! 🌙 These snaps are a little different to the usual interior content, but they were so vibey that I felt compelled to share (Plus is gives you a slightly different side of Edinburgh that isn’t usually shown on the bigger Edinburgh themed social media accounts). I was out on a dog walk today and noticed a hidden path off the old railway, so I followed it and it led me to this incredible cemetery! I’ve walked by a hundred times on the main footpath and had no idea this was just behind the stone wall. There were so many incredible gothic grave stones and It really had the feel of an old enchanted place that has been long forgotten. Most of the cemetery was overgrown with nettles and wildflowers, almost like time stands still there (it kind of reminded of that old film ‘The Secret Garden” which I always loved 🖤) The crow sitting on the grave stone was quite cliche but it really made for the perfect photo op - I wonder if it was guarding the particular spirit of this grave? I’ll need to go back to see who it was because before I had the chance to look, the heavens opened into a full hail storm.
